About Me

My name is Annie. I am in my third year of teaching in an urban school district in central Massachusetts. I just began teaching 3rd grade after two years of teaching kindergarten. I have wanted to teach since I was eight years old and all those years of tormenting my little sister and younger cousins with countless games of school, I am finally able to do what I love professionally.

Outside of work, I love to read, watch movies and be outside as much as I can. I am very interested in farming and homesteading but I am currently a city girl so I help out with a small backyard garden (thanks to my AMAZING landlords).

In school I am passionate about creating a calm and productive classroom culture. I am working on constantly bringing in new ideas to my classroom but I also don’t think we need to reinvent the wheel. I like to say my motto is, “Work smart, not hard” and this blog is all part of that. I hope to get ideas flowing between all the talented teachers I know and all those that I know are out there. I think this kind of sharing is essential in creating a strong professional community.

Thank you all for joining me on this journey. Be in touch!
